Czech Centres Gallery

The Czech Centres Gallery is the Czech Centres’ virtual art space. It presents a diverse selection of projects from the whole of the Czech Centres’ network created jointly with both local and international partners. It introduces visitors to new forms and trends in contemporary art. The virtual gallery of the Czech Centres opens the door to new possibilities to promote the Czech Republic abroad, as each project includes up-to-date information on the collaborations with artists, authors and institutions.

About The Czech Centres

The Czech Centres are a contributory organisation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

They are an integral part of Czech foreign policy and a key cultural diplomacy tool. They operate within the public diplomacy domain, whose mission is to promote and support the good reputation of Czechia abroad and to strengthen cultural relations between countries. The Czech Centres are a cultural institute understanding culture in its broadest sense. They also provide Czech language classes abroad and participate in organising certified language exams. The Czech Centres have been an integral part of the EUNIC (The European Union National Institutes for Culture) network since its establishment in 2006.

At present, there are 28 branches across 4 continents.

The Office of the General Commissioner of the Czech participation at the General World Exposition EXPO has been part of the Czech Centres’ network since January 2023. The two institutions seek to deepen their cooperation through the merger and to create even greater synergies in the presentation of the Czech Republic abroad.
