Franz Kafka: A Man of His and Our Time
1st 1/2024
31st 12/2025
In the centre of Prague, you will find Kafka at almost every turn – he peers out from postcards, mugs and t-shirts, hides in the names of cafés, he is the little man who has saddled up a huge coat, and a huge silver moving bust.
Kafka seems to have Prague at his feet. Or is the city paying him back for the way he made it famous in his works?
Franz Kafka, or the Kafka phenomenon, has been a constant inspiration to readers, literary scholars and artists for a hundred years. What was his life like when he called Prague home? And what exactly from the environment that surrounded him is reflected in his work and appeals to future generations?
