We will not forget

permanent exhibition

In 2020 a set of artworks have been created within the project “We will not forget” on the topics of holocaust and liberation of homeland from the children’s point of view. The artworks were created within the Czechoslovak art competition which was called by the W&Art association in cooperation with the Charles University, Slovak Institute in Prague and Federation of Jewish Communities.

The students from elementary, high and higher vocational schools and from universities focused on art were invited to express by art means their views on the events seen as the darkest moments of European history of 20th century. The project is linked to the 75th anniversary of the end of the World War II and focused on the reflection of the Czech and Slovak young generation on holocaust and still threatening danger of repeating such tragic events.

The exhibition of student artworks has travelled in the Czech Centres network. The first presentation of the exhibition took place in May 2021 in Moscow on the occasion of the anniversary of the end of the World War II. Then the exhibition was held in Paris in February 2022 on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
